"Oakpaw, Ink, Featheredpaw, Sweetpaw, and Crowpaw. Please step forward."
Dreamstar nodded at the apprentices.
"Mentors, are you satisfied that your apprentice is ready to become a warrior?"
The mentors all nod and respond.
"Yes, they are ready."
Dreamstar nodded.
"I Dreamstar, leader of LakeClan call upon my warrior ancestors to look down upon these apprentices. They have trained hard to learn the ways of your noble code, and I give them to you as warriors in turn.
Oakpaw, Ink, Featheredpaw, Sweetpaw, and Crowpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and protect and defend your clan even at the cost of your life? "
They nod and say I do.
"Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior names.
Oakpaw, from this moment you will be known as Oakrise. StarClan honors your courage, and we welcome you as a full warrior of LakeClan.
Ink, you chose to keep your original name. StarClan honors your bravery, and we welcome you as a full warrior of LakeClan.
Featheredpaw, from this moment you will be known as Featheredmist. StarClan honors your knowledge, and we welcome you as a full warrior of LakeClan.
Sweetpaw, from this moment you will be known as Sweetriver. StarClan honors your enthusiasm, and we welcome you as a full warrior of LakeClan.
Crowpaw, from this moment you will be known as Crowspirit. StarClan honors your loyalty, and we welcome you as a full warrior of LakeClan."
The clan started to cheer for the new warriors.
"Oakrise! Ink! Featheredmist! Crowspirit! Sweet!"
"Now, as tradition. You must sit a silent vigil tonight to reflect on your warrior duties!
I will mentor Crypaw. I'm sorry Ivypaw, but your new mentor will be Bluegaze."
"That is all, we will continue on our travels. I do not know how much longer we have to go, but we are doing fine.
(sorry everyone for the long wait. Not much is going to happen until they get to their new home/Crypaw becomes a warrior. But if anyone has any suggestions for an interesting post that we could RP to, please feel free to suggest one! I need them badly.)
By naming apprentices we show that LakeClan will survive and remain strong.
Markstar's face beamed, and he looked down at his kits, his eyes soft.
"Crykit, please step forward."
The kit stepped forward.
"Until you have received you warrior names, you will be known as Crypaw!
Markstar's face beamed, and he looked down at his kits, his eyes soft.
"Crykit, please step forward."
The kit stepped forward.
"Until you have received you warrior names, you will be known as Crypaw!
Dreamstar touched her nose to Crypaw's.
"Crypaw! Crypaw! Crypaw!"
"That is all, we will continue on our travels. I do not know how much longer we have to go, but we are doing fine.

Sweetriver smiled, looking around at her clanmates. She had waited so long for this moment. She only wished that Markstar and Strongspirit were there to see her, she knew Markstar was watching her from StarClan, but her mother was still missing. They had seen no sign of her for moons, ever since the evil cats had attacked. She knew most of her littermates thought Strongspirit had joined Markstar in StarClan, but Sweetriver didnt think so. She knew Strongspirit was alive. Somewhere.....

Strongspirit had ventured as close as she dared to LakeClan, her eyes were shining with pride. Her little kits were now big warriors.
"Why don't you go back?"
Strongspirit turned around, a young tabby tom looked up at her with blazing yellow eyes. "What Blaine?"
"You watch them all the time. We basically follow their every move. Why don't you just go back."
"It's just that... I can't stand to go back. These are my only surviving kin, my other kits.... they are all gone. My mate, he's gone too. I... i can't face it."
Blaine sighed, turning away. He and his family had found her near death a little ways away from camp. She had managed to escape... she didn't know how. She barely remembered how she had become injured.
After waking up, she didn't quite remember everything. She met Rebb, Flora, Blaine and Sugar. They were Kittypets that had run away and were making it as Loners on a land just outside the clan territory. They were all littermates barely of the age to be a warrior. They seemed to make due though. They even managed to hunt for her as she was still recuperating.
"I would kill to have been in a clan." Blaine murmered quietly "It was terrible being a kittypet and its only a little better to be living as a loner... but my littermates, they dont want to live in a clan. And I just can't leave them."
Strongspirit sighed, "Let's get out of here before they spot us."

Crowspirit flicked his gaze to Sweetriver and Featheredmist. He couldn't believe that they were already warriors. It seems like they were just new apprentices, but they had helped the clan a lot since they started to travel. He looked at Ink and Oakrise too. He considered them some of his best friends since they were kits and apprentices together.

Ink held his head high. He never would have though as a kit that he would be a warrior. He knew by what Maple had told them was that eventually, other twolegs would have came and brought them home with them. She had explained that it would have been soon, and that their twoleg was already searching. Shivering slightly, he couldn't imagine the thought of being seperated from Oakrise or his parents. But now... his mother was dead. Sneaking a glance at Ridgefeather, he saw the red tom staring blankly ahead. The tom had good days, then there were bad days. Some days he seemed like his old self, and he actually spoke with Ink and Oakrise. But most days he was closed off. Twitching his tail, Ink knew his father had been through a lot. He had heard how Ridgefeather had become a medicine cat, then the twolegs healed him when he was close to death. He broke three main rules, and now that Maple was dead... the reason for him to break all those rules, Ink knew Ridgefeather thought of himself as a failure. Flattening his ears slightly at his sours thoughts, his gaze flicked to the pretty she-cat, Featheredmist. Heart beating a bit faster he ducked his head slightly.

Dreamstar sat down, curling her long tail around her paws. They would sleep here tonight while the new warriors sat vigil. Yawning, she saw Grayshadow padding over to her, and it finally struck her how much older the she-cat looked. Even Bluegaze looked older too. Flicking her tail slightly, she greeted her daughter warmly.
"We'll find our new territory soon."
The she-cat looked at Dreamstar skeptically.
"What are you going to do then?"
"Establish a territory and build our clan up again, and fight until my dying breath."
Grayshadow sighed.
"Everyone knows you're getting older. I... I don't want to see you fighting until you're dying breath. I don't think any warrior should die fighting. It's loyal and brave, but I wish every cat could retire and live the rest of their life peacefully."
Looking away, Dreamstar did not want to have this conversation again. She had been told too many times lately that she should retire soon, but she just couldn't imagine it. She had been leader for most of her life. How could she just... relax?

Featheredgaze shot a look at Ink, her eyes sparkling. She knew he had been looking at her only moment before. She gave him a quick smile before turning away.
