Jet- Part 6

"You...."

A slow smile came upon Dreamsea's face. She watched as Jetblaze's expression changed from calm sincerity, to shock, to happiness. She looked down, not knowing what to say.

"D-dreamsea."

She looked up at Jetblaze as he spoke.

"W-why did you change your mind?"

She sighed.

"Because Cloudriver appeared to me. He made you, look like him, so I knew it was the right choice. Cloudriver was telling me what I could never figure out."

Jetblaze looked down.

"Who's Cloudriver?"

Dreamsea smiled.

"In my old life, he... I guess he was my first mate. But, that was my past life."

Jetblaze's eyes shot to hers, and Dreamsea took a step towards Jetblaze.

"And this. This is my future."

She took another step towards Jetblaze. She was close enough to hear his shallow breathing. She stood beside him, her shoulder to his shoulder, but so they were facing opposite directions. She looked at the rising sun.

"See that sun Jetblaze."

Jetblaze turned around to face the sunrise.

"That sun. That sun symbolizes new life. New beginnings. A rising sun is the start of a new day. The start of a new world. The moon gives way to light and life. To beginnings and endings. To a new start. A new day. A new... future."

She looked warmly at Jetblaze, and whispered softly.

"And this is only the beginning of ours..."

Jetblaze looked into Dreamsea's eyes, searching. He smiled slightly. He shook his head and laughed.

"No, Dreamsea. This is not the beginning."

She narrowed her eyes at him in confusion.

"This is more like the middle. Like, when we first met. Now that was a beginning!"

Dreamsea rolled her eyes.

"Nice. Ruin my little speech!"

She laughed.

"Come on. We should get back to camp. We've been out all night. And we'll have to go on patrol probably."

Jetblaze sighed, and together they padded back to camp. Before they got too close to camp, Jetblaze stopped.

"Are we going to tell anyone?"

Dreamsea turned around in confusion, and Jetblaze continued.

"Well... are we... umm... mates now?"

Dreamsea closed her eyes.

"Do you love me?"

Jetblaze nodded.

"I... love you. So, yes."

Jetblaze smiled slowly.

"But are we going to tell anyone? Like.. I'm not too sure if we should yet...."

Dreamsea smiled.

"My thoughts exactly! Come on. I'll go in first, then you wait a bit then come in."

Jetblaze nodded, and let Dreamsea pad in, then he soon followed. Dreamsea quietly padded into her nest, trying not to disturb anyone. Jetblaze did the same, and went to his nest. It wasn't that far away from Dreamsea's, and he sighed as he curled up. Dreamsea smiled, and drifted off to sleep before she would have to go on patrol.

(Sorry it's not that long, I couldn't think of anything else to write. :3 That is pretty much the end of that little writing series, but there will probably be another soon!!!!!!!!)

Jet-Part 5

Dreamsea padded through the forest. Moonlight shone down on her fur, making it look like silver. Then, she heard a twig snap behind her. She whirled around, and found herself facing Jetblaze.

"J-jetblaze!? What are you doing!"

Jetblaze smiled.

"I followed you Dreamsea."

Dreamsea narrowed her eyes.

"Why?"

Jetblaze looked away.

"Because. I wanted to tell you...."

He took a small breath.

"That.... I love you."

Dreamsea took a stuttering step back.

"W-what!? You were always mean to me!"

He took another breath.

"I was only trying to get your attention. To get you to notice me. That first day we met, when I was stuck in that bramble bush. When I saw you, I was embarrassed. When I got to know you better, my liking for you grew."

Dreamsea shook her head.

"Being mean isn't a way to get a she-cat to notice you, Jetblaze! You be nice!"

Jetblaze flinched slightly at Dreamsea's harsh tone.

"I... I never knew. I never knew any different. I love you Dreamsea."

Dreamsea shook her head.

"You're crazy to love me Jetblaze."

Jetblaze laughed softly.

"If falling for you is crazy, then I'm going out of my mind."

Jetblaze purred and looked at Dreamsea with soft eyes.

"I can't love you Jetblaze. There may be another cat."

Jetblaze's head shot up.

"Who!?"

Dreamsea took a breath.

"Rippleblaze loves me."

He laughed.

"Why would he love you!? He's way older then you!"

Dreamsea nodded.

"Please... don't tell anyone what I'm about to tell you."

Jetblaze nodded.

"I promise."

Dreamsea smiled slightly, and spoke.

"I used to be Rippleblaze's mate. I used to have a different life. I used to be leader of LakeClan. Markstar, he was my son. Rippleblaze, my mate. Then, I died and StarClan gave me a second chance. I can't have a mate, because of Rippleblaze. I feel like I will be dishonoring him. He used to be the leader of MarshClan, and he gave up everything.... his whole clan for me, when I was leader."

Jetblaze took a few steps back.

"Dreamsea.... you must know it doesn't matter if he loves you... But, do you love him?"

Her eyes widened. She had never thought about this question, and she slowly shook her head.

"I-i love him as a father. That's what he has always been to me."

Jetblaze blinked once, and looked down. His usually bright yellow eyes were dark in the moonlight. Then, she heard him speak in a soft whisper.

"Then, Dreamsea, who do you love?"

She gasped, and didn't answer. She saw his dark yellow eyes meet hers, and she quickly looked away. She heard him ask again.

"Who do you love?"

She then met Jetblaze's gaze. I have always admired his power. His heart. He can be mean, but he makes up for it with his kindness. The moonlight was shining on Jetblaze's pelt, making his pelt seem silver with stripes. Dreamsea gasped, because the moonlight made Jetblaze silver with stripes, and green eyes. He... he looks just like...Cloudriver...  She heard him repeat the question once more, and she blinked, and his pelt was black again, and his eyes yellow.

"Who. Do. You. Love?"

She stared into his eyes, and realized they were full of love and admiration. She spoke in a soft whisper...

Jet-Part 4

Dreamsea padded beside a river, shining and flickering. It seemed to flow up into the stars. She crossed over a mountain, incredibly her paws carried her far over the land. She stood on the top, gazing down at the river. Suddenly, the river and the stars flickered one last time and died, the river flowing into a shimmering sea.
Dreamsea gazed in wonder at the scene when she heard a voice.

"A River of Dreams joins a Star, before flowing into a Sea of Dreams, leaving more than memories."

Dreamsea widened her eyes as the land around her spun into blackness, and she yowled silently as she was carried off of her paws and sucked into the dark. She felt fur brush her side and turned, glaring to see who was brushing against her. A starry gray and white tabby tom was standing next to her, and strangely, strong love and contentment was shining in his eyes.
Who is he? Does he love me?!
She was about to ask the tom when he faded quickly, and was replaced by a black tom curled up next to her. Dreamsea suddenly realized that she was in the Warriors den, and Jetblaze was curled up so close their pelts had been brushing all night. Dreamsea snarled softly, than stood and prodded the tom with a paw. His head shot up immediately, his eyes wild. He stared around crazed, before his eyes focused on Dreamsea's enraged face.

"What do you think you're doing?"

Jetblaze smirked.

"I was sleeping. You know, when you close you eyes and have dreams?"

Dreamsea suddenly felt very far away, reminded of her mysterious dream. She yawned, and realized that it was the middle of the night. She growled at Jetblaze and curled up in her nest.

"Just go farther away. I don't want anyone to think there's anything going on between us."

Jetblaze looked a little disappointed, than looked angry.

"Yeah. Because there's nothing between us. And there never will be."

Dreamsea rolled her eyes, but felt too tired to comment on his scathing reply. She closed her eyes and immediately fell into sleep.

(Breeze wrote this so I could use. ^_^ I fixed it up a bit, but enjoy!! I am currently writing the next BlackClan post, so don't worry!!)

Jet-Part 3

Dreamsea's eyes flew open. She let her eyes focus as she looked around. She saw a familiar gray shape sitting beside her. She croaked out his name.

"R-r-rippleblaze?"

Rippleblaze sighed a sigh of relief.

"Good. You're awake."

He smiled softly, and whispered.

"I already lost you once... I don't want to lose you again..."

Dreamsea furrowed her eyes in confusion, but before she could ask what he meant, she saw Markstar and Bluegaze pad in. And for the first time she spotted Jetblaze sitting beside the entrance to the medicine cat's den. The den was quite crowded, with Nestflame in there also. He padded over to Dreamsea, and asked her o try to sit. She groaned as she pulled herself into a sitting position. Her whole body was sore, and she looked it over. There were long scratches down her side from when the fox had grabbed her. She flinched and snapped back to what was happened as Nestflame applied some more herbs to her wounds. Markstar waited until Nestflame had padded away to speak.

"You were lucky Dreamsea. Jetblaze heard your yowl, and his actions saved your life. He ran to get Bluegaze, knowing he couldn't fight on his own. Bluegaze told the rest of patrol to go back to camp and get more warriors, and Bluegaze and Jetblaze ran to where you were. They drove off the fox long enough to get you out of there. The new patrol that came drove the fox off our territory."

Dreamsea looked down, then looked at Jetblaze. Their eyes met, but only for a second before Jetblaze looked away.

"Did you not scent the fox? I could scent it when we were half-way to you."

Dreamsea shook her head.

"I-i was chasing after a rabbit, and I guess I got too caught up in the chase...."

Markstar nodded.

"Well, try to be more careful next time. As I said, you were very lucky that Jetblaze and Bluegaze got there that fast. Bluegaze said when they attacked the fox the fox had you down, and was killing you. Then they got you back here quickly, which also saved your life. That fox bit deep into your neck."

Dreamsea nodded.

"Thank-you Bluegaze..."

She looked at Jetblaze.

"And you, Jetblaze."

Jetblaze simply nodded, still not looking at her. Markstar smiled and padded out of the medicine cat den, with Bluegaze following. Dreamsea looked around.

"Nestflame, am I good to go now?"

Nestflame looked at her wounds thoughtfully, then nodded.

"Just don't strain yourself too much. Take it easy, and come back here for some poppy seeds if anything hurts. Come back once a day so I can just check your wounds."

Dreamsea nodded in understanding and padded out of the den, lightly brushing past Jetblaze.

::---::

Jetblaze sighed as Dreamsea walked past him. He waited a few moments, before also padding out of the sharp smelling den. He looked in the Warriors Den to find Dreamsea sleeping. He closed his eyes, and opened them again before padding out into the forest. She will never like me... so why do I keep trying? What am I doing wrong!? He closed his eyes tightly, and shook his head. It's hopeless. He snarled, and just lay down in some long waving grass. Jetblaze rested his head on his paws, and sighed. No one would be able to see him. The grass was by the lake, but very long. He closed his eyes. Hopeless...

Jet-Part 2

Dreamsea opened her eyes to be met by battle. She instinctively leapt onto a black tom, and tore into him, making him run away. She smiled to herself, but as she looked around, a shadow was thrown across her. She looked up to see a black tom, with fiery red eyes, rising over her. She tried to move, but the tom was too quick, and she felt her body throb with pain as she bounced once against the ground. She felt herself give in, though she wanted to fight. Claws flashed, and cats yowled around her. Then, she heard an odd yowl of grief. It was terrible to listen too. She heard a soft murmuring, and she found herself speaking, though she didn't know what she was saying. But the tom seemed to understand. She couldn't make out anything. Not a single word. Then, a shining light was coming towards her, she squinted her eyes and looked away. When she looked back at the light, a cat was standing before her, but this cat was shrouded in light. She felt her heart fill with... love...? He whispered to her.

"Come.... It is time..."

She did not hear the names spoken, but she willingly followed this unknown cat into a shining dew filled forest. She gasped. This forest must be StarClan! Am I dead!? She still followed the shining cat, until she came to a large cavern.

Time seemed to skip forward. She was standing in front of a white cat with amber eyes. She only heard a bit of what he was saying.

"... Breakaway...."

Dreamsea's eyes then flew open, and found herself staring into Jetblaze's face. She yowled in shock, and stumbled backwards, tripping over her own feet, and landing on her back. Her eyes were wide with shock, and she stared at Jetblaze's face. His eyes showed that he was amused, and she felt her shock turn to anger. She snapped.

"Why'd you wake me up!"

A slight smile played at Jetblaze's lips.

"It's almost Sun-High. I was told to wake you. Bluegaze is leading a hunting patrol with me, Frostysky, Silentecho, Fallenstrike, and Silverlily. He said for you to come too."

Dreamsea growled, and Jetblaze shrugged.

"Just doing what Bluegaze said. What, you don't want to go hunting cause you too afraid I'll catch more prey then you?"

Jetblaze smirked. Dreamsea snarled and leaped up, her fur bristling.

"Ya right! Just leave me alone!"

She stalked out of the Warriors Den, bumping angrily into Jetblaze on her way out, making him stagger slightly. He threw a smile over his shoulder, and followed her out.

::---::

She sniffed the air thoughtfully. Lots of prey was out, getting ready for the colder seasons ahead. She scented a squirrel, and started to stalk it. LakeClan didn't catch many squirrels, because LakeClan cats didn't climb trees. She saw the squirrel chewing on an acorn, and tried to get as close as she could. She saw it stiffen, and that's when she leaped. Her paws met empty ground, and she growled in fustration. She spun around as she heard a laugh.

"I think you need some squirrel stalking tips. When I lived alone all I did was hunt squirrels. I'm a pro."

She flattened her ears as she looked at the black tom.

"I don't need any help. Especially not from you, Jetblaze!"

Jetblaze rolled his eyes.

"Only trying to help."

Dreamsea shook her head, and took a step forward.

"No, Jetblaze, you are showing off and bragging! Just, leave me alone!"

Dreamsea snarled, then pushed her feet against the ground and ran in the opposite direction of Jetblaze. She then felt her hindquarters dragged down, then the rest of her body. She yowled in alarm, and was spun around. her eyes widened as she looked into the pure black eyes of a fox. She yowled louder, struggling to get free. She dug her back claws into the fox's soft stomach, but the fox didn't let go. It lunged at her neck, it's teeth meeting her soft neck. She tried to lunge her head away, but to no use. She felt the fox's thorn sharp teeth dig deeper into her neck. Her world started to blur around her, and let at one last yowl. She saw two shapes hurtle out of the bushes. A white and a black one. Two. She felt her body start to get numb, and she stopped her weak struggling. A command was yowled through the air, and she felt the foxes weight lifted off of her. Darkness started to seep over Dreamsea's vision, and she saw a black shape race over to her while the white one fought of the fox. The black shape yowled, but she only heard it faintly.

"Bluegaze! We'relosingher!"

Then, all sound and sight faded.

Jet-Part 1

Dreampaw yawned and stretched. She was sitting in the clearing, waiting to be asked on a patrol. She rarely went, and found it quite boring. Then she saw Rippleblaze pad over to her. She jumped up.

"Are we going to train?"

Rippleblaze nodded, and smiled, his eyes warm.

"Yep. Come on. We'll do some fighting practice."

Dreampaw nodded.

"Okay!"

Rippleblaze flicked his tail, and padded out of the camp. Dreampaw followed after him.

As they were nearing the training hollow, Rippleblaze stiffened.

"Dreampaw, tell me what you smell."

She sniffed the air and bristled.

"Intruder!"

Rippleblaze nodded in approval.

"Come on. Let's go see what, or who, it is."

Dreampaw nodded, and silently crept forward beside Rippleblaze. They heard a cat hissing in frustration, and Rippleblaze leaped out of the undergrowth, ready to attack. Dreampaw followed, snarling, then stopped. She stared at their "intruder" dumbfounded. The intruder was tangled in a bramble bush, and was apparently stuck.

"Umm... Rippleblaze... what do we do?"

She could see that Rippleblaze was holding back a mrrow of laughter. He rolled his eyes, and finally the tom cat noticed them. He stopped struggling, and hissed.

"May I help you?"

Dreampaw narrowed her eyes, and was about to shoot a remark back when Rippleblaze purred.

"I think that question should be directed at you. You're the one caught in a bramble bush, on our territory."

The tom hissed, but didn't respond.

"You need help?"

The tom looked away, and Dreampaw laughed. Rippleblaze smiled, and motioned for Dreampaw to also help. The two clan cats soon had this tom out, when Rippleblaze started questioning.

"Why are you on our territory?"

The tom bared his teeth.

"Roaming, what does it look like?"

Rippleblaze snarled.

"Come on, are you the only one?"

The tom nodded.

"Dreampaw, get on his other side. We're bringing him back to camp. Markstar can handle him."

She padded to the other side of the tom intruder, and looked him over. He seemed to be about her age, but older. He had sleek black fur, with yellow eyes. He was well muscled, and would be a strong opponent in battle. Dreampaw soon saw the camp in front of her, then they were padding in. Dreampaw padded away from Rippleblaze and the tom and went to find Markstar She stopped in the entrance to the Leader's Den. The den felt so... familiar to her, though she had never been it before.

"Markstar? May I come in."

There was a muffled mew, and Dreampaw took that as a yes. She padded in.

"Hello Dreampaw, is there a problem?"

Dreampaw quickly explained what had happened, and followed Markstar as he padded into the clearing. Markstar sat down.

"Who are you?"

The tom rolled his eyes.

"Who does it look like I am? I'm a cat, in your territory, who may wish to join."

Markstar held back a growl.

"What is your name..."

The tom smirked.

"Jet."

Dreampaw looked to the sky as a loud boom of thunder rolled across the sky. Rain had been threatening all day, and it now started to rain lightly. Dreampaw groaned, but Markstar ignored it.

"And you would like to join, Jet?"

Jet nodded. Markstar nodded, and leaped onto the LakeRock. Dreampaw noticed him hesitate before speaking. Would he do a formal ceremony? Dreampaw saw his eyes flicker, and thought. No, he won't. Markstar cleared his throat, and spoke.

"Jet wishes to join LakeClan! Jet, do you wish to receive a clan name, Jetpaw?"

Jet thought for a second, then slowly nodded. Markstar nodded.

"Then from now on, until you receive your warrior name, you shall be known as Jetpaw. Strongspirit shall be your mentor."

Markstar nodded, then leaped down, and quickly padded to his den as the rain poured down. Most of the clan did the same, but Sorrelheart and Stormwater organized hunting and border patrols. Dreampaw flattened her ears to her head, and crawled into the Apprentices Den. She let out a hiss a she saw Jetpaw licking himself dry, in her nest! She stalked up to him, her tail lashing.

"What are you doing!?"

Jetpaw looked up.

"Cleaning myself. Is that a problem?"

Dreampaw hissed, and spoke through closed teeth.

"You're sitting in my nest."

Jetpaw looked down.

"It looks like any other nest to me."

Dreampaw growled.

"It's my nest. My scent is on i!"

Jetpaw rolled his eyes.

"Fine, I'll move."

Jetpaw stood up, and moved to another, unoccupied nest not too far away. She stepped onto her nest to find it soaking wet. She hissed in anger.

"Look what you did!"

Jetpaw smirked, but didn't answer. Dreampaw grumbled to herself.

"Maybe if I'm lucky, I can find dry moss still!"

She rolled up her wet moss, and carried it into the clearing, walking along the sides to try to stay dry. The sun was still up, but it would be dark soon. She walked out of the clearing to be stopped by Fallenstrike.

"Where are you going? It's getting dark soon."

Dreampaw put the moss she was holding down, and shook her fur lightly.

"Going to see if I can find any dry moss. Jetpaw... got mine all wet."

Fallenstrike nodded.

"Just don't be long. Also, maybe get some for the elders also. They'd appreciate it."

Dreampaw nodded, hoping she wouldn't be, and picked up the moss again. She grumbled slightly at being given a job. She carried it a little ways from camp, before dropping it, and went in search of some moss. She had needed to get new moss anyways, hers was getting dirty.

She eventually found some moss that was still dry inside a hollow tree. She ripped some off, in clean, smooth cuts. She got as much as she would need for herself. I'll have to get more for the elders.... She then grabbed some more, so she was carrying as much as she could, and padded back to camp, with moss in her mouth and under her chin. She nodded to Fallenstrike, and went to the elders den. They still had enough clean moss, so she only took out the dirty stuff, and threw in the new moss. The elders who were still awake said thanks, and she backed out of the den and brought the dirty moss outside of the camp, before going to get more for herself.

She got her moss, and was soon back into the Apprentices Den. It had been dark for a while now, and she spread out the moss, before moving away from all the dry moss, and drying her fur out. Once she had licked her fur clean, she curled up in her dry nest, and fell asleep.
