Scarheart's Ceremony and the Start of Everything

Scarheart has decided that she has served her life, as a warrior, in LakeClan well! She has decided that she will become an elder!

Grayshadow padded outside. She was hunting by herself because she needed some fresh air and alone time. The camp was much to busy with lots and lots of hunting patrols going out. Grayshadow sniffed the air. She smelled a faint hint of prey. She dropped down and padded forward. Looking for where the valuable piece of prey was. Grayshadow finally spotted the huge raven that was pecking at the ground. A smile played at her mouth, and she continued onward, more enthusiastically. This raven would feed the queens AND the elders! Then, with one flash of gray and a cut of shriek of the bird, the raven was dead and Grayshadow was holding it triumphantly. Grayshadow brought it back to camp, where Adder was heading out. She handed it to him, then ran off again. She didn't trust burying it in this much needed time of food.


As Grayshadow swiftly, yet quietly, ran back to where she killed the raven, she scented the truth of everything. Grayshadow stopped, and raised her head. Her eyes widened as she saw this sight. The sight unlike any others. Huge cats were running in her direction. Grayshadow stifled a yowl and started to turn back, when she was frozen where she was.


"Death will kill death. Life will live life. Six will be six."


Grayshadow cowered in fear. She did not like those words. It had been a few moons since she had seen the vision, after a while she thought it was just all in her head.  Grayshadow looked back to where the bigger cats were walking, to see one right about to walk into the area she was in. She did not want to be discovered, and she especially didn't want to lead these cats to the clan. It seemed that they didn't know about the clans, but they had a look in their eye that showed this is their territory now.


Grayshadow slowly moved away. Being as quiet as she ever was, then when she was out of, what she thought was hearing distance, she ran back to camp.

Grayshadow ran in to see only five other cats in particular. Sorrelkit was begging Dreamstar for something, Smokepaw was padding to the fresh-kill pile, Driftbreeze was watching Everpaw pad around and scowl under her breath.  Missingfoot was looking for Larkpaw, and Shinerain was basking in the cool leaf-bare sun with Treebreeze. Then, everything other then Grayshadow, Shinerain, Missingfoot, Driftbreeze, Smokepaw and Sorrelkit, seemed to freeze. They all looked over at Grayshadow. Sorrelkit let out a whimper as fear crossed her face. Grayshadow looked at what those five were looking at behind her.....


She turned around to see the same giant black cat as before, standing over her and studying the clans home. The cat looked down at Grayshadow, and it seemed to Grayshadow that he smirked....Right then he padded right over her and roared. The whole clan cowered in fear as this unknown cat proclaimed his dominance....

*Rowanthorn looked up, obviously surprised.*

I have not warned you of this, but I would like Cloverpond to step down from being Head-Warrior!

*Rowanthorn's eyes sparked with acknowledgment as he realized what was happening. Dreamstar smiled at Rowanthorn and continued to speak.*

Rowanthorn shall take Cloverpond's place as  Head-Warrior!

So, if anything happens to Shinerain, you shall take her place as deputy! Unless, there is a better choice then you.

*Smiles apologetically.*

Yes. It is sort of wrong, but maybe at the time there would be a better choice! So Rowanthorn would still stay Head-Warrior!

Also, I would like a very large patrol to go hunting! We have barely enough food to feed the warriors! Rowanthorn, would you please get a patrol together?

*Rowanthorn nodded and got to work.*

Also, Soaringheart seems no better....we're still not sure if his leg will get back. Pray to StarClan he will! I am also going to take on an apprentice. Yes, I still am in the nursery, but I feel as if I should mentor this kit who is long over due for an apprentice ceremony!

*Dreamstar nodded at Petalspots and leaped down from the rock and went to the nursery. The clan soon split up, leaving Petalspots in the middle of the clearing, with snow gently falling.*

Monarch of Glory-Part Four

Dreamstar woke in her den. Soaringheart wasn't there, so she decided to go on a walk. She slowly got up, and went into the clearing. A few cats were up, and getting the dawn patrol sorted out. Dreamstar looked around, proudly, even in the hardest of times, this clan can make it through. Then everything was shattered as cats came rushing into the entrance.

"What happened here! We just had something happen!"

Dreamstar looked around worriedly. She couldn't take all this excitement....all this stress. Then she saw Soaringheart being carried in. His leg was twisted the wrong way and he was bleeding heavily. Dreamstar shook her head and closed her eyes. Not wanting anything like this to ever happen again. Then she felt a tail brush her shoulder. She looked up to see Grayshadow standing in front of her.

"We....we found him with his leg in a fox-trap....It was right by the river....and Ripplestar was trying to free him. He's lost a lot of blood....only just before we came to camp did he stop yowling in pain. Ripplestar's here too. I'm so sorry Dreamstar."

Grayshadow left to the warrior's den where Adder was waiting, his eyes clouded in fear. Dreamstar looked around at her clan. They didn't know what to think. They were all starving, cats were sick, and we were running out of herbs to help. Dreamstar saw Snowshine and Silverfang come out and pull Soaringheart into their den. Then Dreamstar spotted Everkit narrowing her eyes in horror. She didn't want this either. Dreamstar breathed in quickly. Fear scent was mingling everywhere. Then she felt a muzzle brush hers.

"I tried....I tried to be quicker. But I wasn't....I told my patrol to run back to camp to get more warriors... so we could dig them out. I saw a few around the river. I'm sorry. Come on let's go for a walk."

Ripplestar purred and led the shocked leader out of the chaotic camp. Ripplestar continued to walk until he was at the border to the empty territory. Dreamstar's eyes lifted when she scented the smell of prey and herbs. She looked around to see a pile sitting across the border. Ripplestar licked her cheek.

"Take it. I know you need it. Take some more territory as well. BlackClan are slowly moving more of their camps away. Too many cats. Just the main camp stays in the middle. You need this territory."

Dreamstar shook her head. She needed to get back to camp. To help the clan get through this. She needed to get Everkit to talk. Dreamstar looked at Ripplestar. They were on a hill, overlooking the barren territory, with hints of prey and herbs, and a little of BlackClan, but not much more. The sun was setting, and as Dreamstar looked up at Ripplestar, he was silhouetted by the red sunset. Dreamstar smiled and whispered.

"For the heart to die, the heart has to live."

Ripplestar looked at Dreamstar in confusion but lay down beside Dreamstar. Dreamstar shook the lightly falling snow off of her pelt and looked up.

"Maybe this is the time to choose....to choose the one....the one to be my, monarch of glory....."

Monarch of Glory-Part Three

*Dreamstar limped out of her den. It was time for new apprentices, but she knew she couldn't announce it from the Lakerock. Dreamstar looked around for a cat she trusted. She was about to call over Jayflight when she heard a yowl from the entrance. She turned her gaze to see a patrol snarling and pushing....Ripplestar. Hawkfeather and Spottedrain were limping and looked close to death. Dreamstar rushed over as fast as she could, but winced in pain and fell to the ground.

The clan started to gather around, and started to creep forward to chase Ripplestar out. Dreamstar stood up and walked to her two kits who were being treated.*

Who....who did this.

*Dreamstar whispered low enough so that barely an one could hear. Hollyfeather stepped forward and hissed at Ripplestar*

We found them with him. They had gray fur between their claws.....but it smells more like badger.....but they were near a badger hole....

*Hollyfeather narrowed her eyes at Ripplestar, and was about to hiss when Dreamstar stopped her with a flick of her tail. Dreamstar stood up from lying beside Spottedrain and Hawkfeather. She turned to Ripplestar, sorrow brimming her eyes.*

Did...did you do this?

*Dreamstar closed her eyes and breathed heavily. When she got no response, she said it again, but this time she yowled it.*

DID YOU DO THIS! DID YOU RIPPLESTAR??!! JUST TELL ME IF YOU DID!

*Ripplestar backed up a step. Not knowing why Dreamstar was suddenly so mad. He slowly shook his head at first. But then first when dreamstar took a hurtful step forward, snarling.*

I-I never did this!

*Dreamstar snarled.*

Then why were you on MY territory! Hunting for prey? Ambushing us? What was your purpose to be here! TO SEE ME!

*Dreamstar fell to the ground, sobbing. She didn't want to know what happened. She didn't want to know the truth. If the truth was that he hurt her kits, or he came to SEE HER. She didn't want to know.

Ripplestar took a step forward to help Dreamstra, but was then stopped by a gray queen. Then queen shook her head and turned her gaze to Soaringheart. Her eyes brimmed with sorrow as Soaringheart didn't seem to care that much.

Ripplestar's eyes widened with understanding. This must be one of Dreamstar's kits stopping him, and that must be this cats father. Ripplestar took a step back. Shaking is sorrow and fear.*

I....I didn't do anything but help those two cats......but now I have only hurt Dreamstar......I don't want to hurt her....I should never come back....

*Ripplestar's eyes filled with tears as he whispered the truth. The queen heard and shook her head.*

I am Grayshadow....You have not hurt her....but she is in much pain and sorrow.

*Grayshadow looked back at Soaringheart who was deciding on whether to help Dreamstar or to stay where he was. When Grayshadow looked back at where Ripplestar was, he was gone. Grayshadow sighed and then heard paws racing across the clearing. Grayshaodw's eyes shot back to where Dreamstar was to see Soaringheart crouched beside her. He was licking her forehead, while she was in pain on the ground. Pain from sorrow, stress, an ache inside, and her shoulder.

Dreamstar opened her eyes to see, not Ripplestar, but Soaringheart licking her foreheard. Trying to soothe her broken soul and spirit. Dreamstar's eyes flashed with prophecies.

The time to choose has come....But who would she choose? The new and old.....it's about Eaglestar and her....not her loves....but what if it's both?

Dreamstar closed her eyes and stopped shaking. *

I'm sorry for everything Soaringheart...I still always loved you....but I needed Ripplestar....I love him too....I think I still do....

*Soaringheart purred and continued to lick her head*

I should be the one saying sorry. I haven't been nice. I know that mates find new mates...I guess it just hurt more because he was from another clan....I'm sorry. I should have accepted who you loved. I'm okay with it now. As long as I know you still love me when Ripplestar isn't here....

*They were talking so quiet that no other cat could hear. Dreamstar purred, happy he wasn't mad at her anymore.*

I'll always love you....

*Soaringheart moved closer to Dreamstar and curled around her. They lay in the middle of camp, as cats moved off to sleep. Dreamstar breathed in a sigh of relief only to smell Cloudriver's scent around her.*


This is a start, love. You can love two cats....one truly has your heart....while the other carries it while he isn't here.

*Cloudriver purred in approval and disappeared, leaving his scent to linger in the air. Dreamstar closed her eyes and fell asleep in the middle of the clearing....with Soaringheart....*

Big News

*Dreamstar limped in with cats supporting her on both sides. She walked over to the Lake Rock and stood in front of it. Cats were already coming out of dens, wanting to hear about the gathering.*

There is nothing new with other clans! Nothing really happened except we discussed that Leaf-Bare has come early! Other clan leaders were doubting our strength! Because of what is happening with my life lately, I got mad. I....broke down.....

I have had a lot of stress and sorrow! So I wasn't attacking the other leaders, but I was prepared to attack! Then I realized what I had done, and by accident, started to slip off the Great Rock. The other leaders tried to help me before I fell, but they didn't help me in time!


I fell from the top of the Great Rock, and fainted! I went into a black place....I then woke up, but I wasn't truly awake because it was only me and Bluepaw there... he told me something...

Dreamstar. The time to choose has come. To face the new and old. For the times of new and old to clash....

That is what he said... Then I found myself in a shining clearing. When I fell from the Great Rock, I broke my shoulder, as you can all tell. StarClan have healed it enough that it isn't permanent. But it will take time to heal. I shall be fine...

*Whispers of shock rippled through the crowd, as they realized what had truly happened in the shining clearing...Dreamstar nodded and had two cat help her to the leaders den with Fellkit following.*
