IN DREAMSTAR'S DEN
*Nestflame pads in. Dreamstar had called him, wishing to speak.*
Nestflame. Ridgekit's apprentice ceremony is today. I have watched him, and he seems to love being around your den. I know you don't want to take on an apprentice, in the hopes Rosepaw will come back... But Rosepaw has been gone for moons now Nestflame. She's most likely dead.
*Dreamstar saw Nestflame open his mouth to object, but Dreamstar silenced him with a flick of her tail.*
If she's not dead, then she's never coming back. You should take on Ridgekit as your apprentice. It will be good for you Nestflame. You need to get your mind away from believing Rosepaw will come back.
*Dreamstar sighed.*
If Rosepaw ever does come back, she can still train as a partial medicine cat... She'll be like jayflight, but you'll teach her, and she'll probably do a bit more.
*Nestflame nodded solemnly, and looked at Dreamstar, his eyes showing slight anger, and sorrow.*
Dreamstar. How did you come back? I checked you myself, all night actually.... and you were never breathing. How?
*Dreamstar sighed.*
StarClan have a way of working wonders. But will you take Ridgekit on? He's a wonderful kit, a pleasure to be around. He's smart too, and he'll learn fast. He'll be a wonderful apprentice.
*Nestflame looked away for a second, and Dreamstar spoke in a soft voice.*
I won't force you to take him on. But it would mean a lot if you did. It would mean a lot to me. A whole lot.
*Nestflame looked back at Dreamstar, to realize her eyes showed great sadness.*
Dreamstar...? Are you okay?
*Dreamstar shook her head, then nodded. She smiled halfheartedly, tears in her eyes.*
Yes. I'm fine. Will you?
*Nestflame just stared at Dreamstar, then slowly nodded.*
Yes Dreamstar. I will, for you. Because you are my leader.
*Dreamstar gave a sad grin.*
Thank-you, Nestflame. Now let's go have that ceremony.
*She stood up, and padded out of her den, with Nestflame following.*

I, Dreamstar, leader of LakeClan-
*Dreamstar stopped for a moment, as tears flooded her eyes. How can I accept this!? How could they do this to me!? She shook her head, and continued.*

*Dreamstar smiled at the new warriors and apprentices.*
Now. As you all know, Rosepaw is either dead, or never coming back. A kit has showed great interest in becoming a medicine cat.
*Dreamstar nodded at Nestflame, and Nestflame stepped forward, in no hurry, his eyes still showed no emotion. *
Cats of LakeClan, as you know, I will not be around forever. So it's time I took on an apprentice. I have chosen a kit who has shown great interest in learning the sacred ways of a medicine cat. Your next medicine cat will be...
*Nestflame closed his eyes. Not knowing if he could really take on an apprentice. Was Rosepaw really never coming back?*
...Ridgekit.
*Nestflame opened his eyes to see the small kit's eyes light up in happiness. Nestflame smiled slightly. Then, Dreamstar stepped forward.*

*Dreamstar smiles.*

*Nestflame nods at Ridgepaw.*
Then at the half-moon, you must travel to the Moonpool to be accepted by Starclan.
*Dreamstar nods.*
The good wishes of all LakeClan will go with you.
*Then, Nestflame stepped forward, and touched noses with Ridgepaw.*
You shall head out tonight. We hope to see you soon, and well.
*With that, Nestflame and Ridgepaw pad out of the camp. Dreamstar watched them leave, a pang of sadness sweeping over her eyes. She nods, and leaps off of the LakeRock, and padded to Rippleblaze. Everyone knows I have only a few lives left, and they wonder how I got these lives. I lost one discovering the MoonCrest.I lost one to the fox that Markspirit chased out, then I gave him his warrior name. I lost another in my sleep... That's three lives... Dreamstar sighed, and shuddered. I have 5 lives left. And I shouldn't be alive.*

He sighed remembering his first time meeting StarClan. With Rosepaw... he shook his head. "Your in for a great honor, meeting StarClan," he mewed to Ridgepaw

*Coastpebble smiled at Ridgepaw, though her eyes showed slight sorrow that Newkit couldn't have been there. She looked at Dreamstar, and padded over.*
Dreamstar. What's wrong?
*Dreamstar shook her head.*
Nothing. Just... happy...
*Dreamstar got up and walked away, and Coastpebble could hear the lie in her words.*

Mistypaw almost leaped up in confusion. Rosepaw is not dead! She will come back! And so will Icycurrent! Mistypaw silently tried to convince herself that they were alive.

Bluepaw sighed. "I know... do you think Rosepaw and Icycurrent are still alive? I don't think they're dead, but we haven't seen them in such a long time...." Bluepaw knew he was drifting off-topic. "Maybe it might be ok if you leave LakeClan. No one really cares about us here, we weren't born here, so it's like we're not good enough as the others who were born here." Bluepaw sighed.

*icycurrent opened his eyes. The moon looked full, but he knew the Gathering was tomorrow. He stood up and stretched, before prodding Rosepaw.*
Rosepaw? Do you want to go tonight? We'll be there tomorrow. But we need to make a stop first.

Rosepaw narrowed her eyes. "You can make that 'little stop' yourself. I want to go home." Rosepaw knew she sounded kind of silly but she didn't care.
*Icycurrent sighed.*
It will only take us a little while longer. It's on the way there. But... it could be dangerous. We need to stop at BlackClan's territory. Not in it, but around it. We need to find a safe den... for Erol.

Also, Rosepaw. If you want... we could stop at the MoonCave... you could get your full name. I'm sure StarClan would allow it.

Rosepaw sighed. "Probably not." Rosepaw looked at Erol for a second, but kept quiet. "I kind of want to see Nestpa- Nestflame before I can do any of that." Rosepaw sighed and remembered the unexpected visit from that kit, Soul.
Oh... ok. But. He'll be at the Gathering by the time we get back.... You don't want to get it now? the last time I checked, we aren't too far from the MoonCave.
